Samsung Galaxy Note and Galaxy Y available with Team GB back covers at O2

Samsung may have decided that its forthcoming Galaxy S III will be the official smartphone of the London 2012 Olympic Games, but it is believed that special edition versions of its latest Android phone will find their way only into the hands of competing athletes and selected trialists (of Visa's NFC payment methods). Normal punters will have to wait to see if any pop up on eBay after the event.
Or they can opt for a Samsung Galaxy Note or Galaxy Y instead, as Samsung and O2 have joined forces to offer special Team GB versions of those handsets. As well as different packaging, when you buy a Note or Y on O2, you get a free Olympics-themed back cover for your device.
Samsung has also pledged to pay £1 towards Team GB charities that will help athletes of the future, and purchasing customers (who buy their phone before 24 May) will be entered into a prize draw to win a "once in a lifetime Team GB experience".
Each of the 19 winners of the prize draw (which closes on 1 June) will win two tickets to an Olympic Games event, two tickets to the Team GB training camp in Loughborough on 6 July 2012 (including reasonable travel costs and one night pre-arranged accommodation), and two tickets to the Team GB celebration event taking place in London - provisionally slated for 10 September.
The prize draw may end soon, but there may still be Team GB devices available to buy as Samsung has created 11,000 Galaxy Note backs and 15,400 for the Galaxy Y. They will still be bundled as long as stock lasts.
